          • ‘’Czwórka’’ traces its history back to the pre-war period.

            1935 – During the ceremonial unveiling of the monument to Józef Piłsudski in Otwock, Jan Gadomski, the town Mayor, declares that the next step in commemorating the Marshal by the people of Otwock will be erecting a primary school named after him. The building work starts in the same year and two years later ‘’Czwórka’’ moves from the building in Staszica Street to a new building in 31 Szkolna Street.

            1939 – 1945 – During the war the school functions on conditions imposed by the invader.

            after 1945 –The inimical authorities of the People’s Republic of Polandmake it impossible to name the school after Józef Piłsudski.

            1990 – Mayor Gadomski’s declaration is fulfilled on 10 November 1990:Primary School No. 4 in Otwock is named after Józef Piłsudski. The head teacher is, at that time, Mr Stanisław Lasota.

            1999/2000 – As a result of educational reform, Junior High School No. 4 is opened in the building in Szkolna Street.

            1999/2004 – The two schools function side by side, in the Primary School tradition.

            2004–The last studentsfinish the Primary School in June and in September preparations start to name the Junior High School after Józef Piłsudski.

            2004 – In November the school is ceremonially given the name of Józef Piłsudski Junior High School No. 4

            2017 – 1st of September we have been turn back into Primary School No. 4 with ten classes of Junior High School (II i III).
